However, I have verified the fact that he was actually associated with UMC for six and a half years, so I will remove the "citation needed" for that. Also, it appears that the article's 2004 date for his retirement from neurosurgical practice might be incorrect.

Blaylock two full years after he left UMC before he got around to adding the word "retired" to his description of his relationship with UMC, plus another half year before he corrected the name of the institution.
